On Dr. King Day, January 18th, 2016 Jada Pinkett Smith recorded a short video that has the internet on fire. She talked about the recent Oscar nominations and the lack of African Americans being nominated and the need to withdraw our resources from Hollywood and invest in our own communities, companies, etc. Last year the same topic came up after the Oscar nominations were announced and the #OscarsSoWhite started being used in protests. This year the discussion is going even farther and rightfully so.
We discussed #OscarsSoWhite, the Flint, MI lead water crisis and more Wednesday, January 20th, 2016 on “The Michael Imhotep Show”. Listen to the PODCAST of “#OscarsSoWhite – Boycott The Oscars and The Box Office #RedistributeThePain” here.
Visit us again soon because we will have much more on this story.
